How to manually provision a Polycom a VVX 400/410 on the dVoice UC Platform

Phone model used: Polycom VVX 410

The steps also apply to other Polycom VVX 4xx models

 1. Go to ‘Menu’ by pressing the ‘Home’

      

2. Select ‘Settings’ by using the arrow keys from your navigation tool.

3. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to open the ‘Settings’ menu.

4. Select ‘Advanced’ by using your up & down arrow keys from the navigation tool. Press the button in the middle of the navigation tool to open the ‘Advanced’ menu.

5. Enter the password ‘456’ by using the Dial Pad. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to submit your password and access the ‘Advanced’ menu.

6. Select ‘Administration Settings’ by using the up & down arrow keys from your navigation tool. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to open the ‘Administration Settings’.

7. Select ‘Network Configuration’ by using the up & down arrow keys from your navigation tool. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to open ‘Network Configuration’.

8. Select ‘Provisioning Server’ by using the up & down arrow keys from your navigation tool. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to open the ‘Provisioning Server’.

9. Select ‘DHCP Menu’ by using the up & down arrow keys from your navigation tool. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to open the ‘DHCP Menu’.

10. Select ‘Boot Server’ by using the up & down arrow keys from your navigation tool. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to edit the ‘Boot Server’.

11. Go to ‘Static’ by using the up & down arrow keys from your navigation tool. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to select the option ‘Static’.

12. You will automatically be taken to the previous menu and the ‘Boot Server’ should now show ‘Static’.

13. Press ‘Back’ to go to the previous menu.

14. Select ‘Server Type’ by using the up & down arrow keys from your navigation tool. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to edit the ‘Server Type’.

15. Go to ‘HTTP’ by using the up & down arrow keys from your navigation tool. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to select the option ‘HTTP’.

16. You will automatically be taken to the previous menu and the ‘Server Type’ should now show ‘HTTP’.

17. Select ‘Server Address’ by using the up & down arrow keys from your navigation tool. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to edit the ‘Server Address’.

18. Enter cfg.voice.dynmx.net/cfg by using the ‘Dial Pad’. You can find the letters needed above the numbers. Press the button in the middle of your navigation tool to submit the ‘Server Address’.

19. Continue pressing ‘Back’ until you arrive a screen where you can save your configurations.

Go to ‘Save Config’ by using the up & down arrow keys from your navigation tool. Press ‘Select’ to save your configurations. You have manually provisioned the phone and it will auto-reboot.
