How do I reset my Polycom Phone?

The Polycom IP phone has three different types of reset. It is MANDATORY to perform these 3 resets in sequence as shown below.

  1. Reset Local Config
  2. Reset Device settings
  3. Format File system

Reset Local Config - resets the following:

Configuration Files

Config Overrides

The Local Config comprises settings manually entered via the phone's web interface. These settings override provisioned (downloaded) settings. If you find that your provisioned phone is not implementing all of the settings expected then this reset should clear that up.

Reset Device Settings - resets the following:

All IP Parameters

FTP User Name and PW

Custom SSL Certificates

User and Admin Passwords

Format File System - resets the following:

BootROM

Application

*Keep note that the following actions will erase your settings. This cannot be undone.
